Record Month for SRC Electrical

SRC Electrical is proud to share that August 2017 was a RECORD month in both units produced and units shipped! Our team is producing the most materials in the history of SRC Electrical, running the highest amount of hours in the plant and setting goals for the future that are even more challenging. In order to deliver, we have to create efficiencies, change habits and realign our priorities. At SRC Electrical we do this by creating mini-games. Mini-games are designed to meet the objectives the plant has set while adding a scoreboard to create visibility, creativity to let the team help generate the goal, and a reward to keep motivation throughout the challenge! The "Bowling for Our Sake" and "Get the Trucks Out" mini-games accomplished just that! Want to learn how to implement mini-games successfully in your business? SRCE Attending the #GatheringofGames in Dallas, TX

A few of our SRC Electrical associates are attending the Annual Gathering of Games, hosted by the Great Game of Business (GGOB), this week in Dallas, TX.

The Annual Gathering of Games is the only conference where the open-book management community comes together from around the world to learn, share, and celebrate the principles and practices of GGOB and open-book management. Hundreds of open-book practitioners attend this conference every year to learn innovative best practices, help introduce new employees to OBM, re-energize current employees with new ideas, & connect with other OBM practitioners.

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Gathering of Games conference, and the team at GGOB are excited to celebrate with a tip of the hat to the "Best of the Best" - 17 years of Great Game All-Stars.

Wealth & Wellness 2017

Wealth & Wellness 2017

The SRC subsidiaries and joint ventures held a Wealth and Wellness event on June 24th at its Sunshine Street location.  The event focused on family fun, philanthropy, and our future as employee-owners.

Employees and their families were invited to participate in games on the lawn, such as bubble ball, basketball, bounce houses, and other activities for children.  Local wellness-based vendors and SRC subsidiaries and joint ventures were also in attendance to showcase services offered and activities for guests.

The employees of SRC and its joint ventures always look for ways to make an impact within the community with the help of its employees.  Therefore, the group created a contest to raise money for charity in conjunction with the Wealth and Wellness event.  From May 1 through June 24th, each company voted on a cause for which to raise money.  The companies then held independent raffles, lunches, and other contests in order to raise funds for their given cause. As an enterprise, the employees were able to raise $17,200 for area charities.

Below is a list of charities which benefited from the contest.

In the midst of family fun and philanthropy, the SRC employee-owners also looked at the future of their employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) during the 2017 Shareholders' meeting, which was also held on the lawn at the Sunshine building.  Employees learned about the current state of the company, a five year outlook, and the new stock price.

About the ESOP | SRC believes in sharing the wealth with those who helped create it.  In fact, its ESOP is at no cost to the employee.  In its history, SRC has paid out over $100M to associates leaving the company.
